Prices remain without noticeable alteration. The Turkish War Ofiiee has been closed. The employees, not having received their pa}-, refused to work. Sydney, August 22. Emily is a firm favcrite for the Derby, at three to one. Kinsman is the favorite for the Metropolitan, at five to one. Tiie Brisbane Assembly has been sitting for forty-eight hours. The Opposition are obstructing the railway proposals of the Government. In Melbourne the Victorian Assembly has been sitting all night, and has not jet risen. The defeat of the Government is expected.
