Cap<aiii M'Kinnon, one of the oldest residents of Pore Chalmers, and formerly a larire shipowner, was found dead in his grounds this morning. The Cromwell Goldmining Company has crushed U24 ounces of gold from 480 tons of quart/!. Six declarations of insolvencies have been filed this week. The principal one is Francis Crowuer, master mariner, of Port Chalmers, with debts L 1502, and assets LI4OO.
