All Lung was committed for trial for sweating coin.
The charges preferred against the Reids are further postponed. The prisoners have petitioned the Government for a commutation of sentence, on account of the destitute condition of their family. A fire occurred at the Brush ware Factory, Octagon, yesterday. The damage is estimated at about Ll5O. It was insured in the Colonial for Ll3O.
Mr. Simpson, of the Clyde, has been definitely appointed H.M,, vice Mr. Bathgate.
