THE LABOR MARKET. Mr. K. Mackintosh reports for the week ending May 3tst. as follows Business in the tabor market has improved very sligh tty this week, but stilt there is great room for improvement,, great numbers of men being stilt idle. Wb have had a good deal of rain, which should improve the demand for farming hands. Female servants and hotel hands are in steady demand. It is to be hoped that the harbor and waterworks wilt soon start again, as things would very much improve if they did.
