[FKOM orII OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] London, May 2. Captains Broinhead and Chard, the heroes of the defence of Rorke's Drift, have been awarded the Victoria Cross. May 4. Sir Michael Hicks-Beach's reply consists of giving Mr. Berry a copy of a despatcli sent to the Marquis of Normanby, as Governor of Victoria, yesterday.
