"VISIT OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR. rjPHE Reception Committee desire to notify, for the information of the Citizens generally, that the following arrangements have been made for Friday next. His Excellency is expected to arrive by special train from Dunedin at 1 p.m., and on his arrival the Artillery will salute, and an address will be presented (on the passenger platform) by the Municipal Council. His Excellency will leave for the Harbor Works by special train at 1.15 p.m., and will be presented with an address by the Harbor Board on the Normanby Wharf, the Volunteer Rifles forming a guard of honor. The return train will, at 1.45 p.m., leave for Oamaru Station, where carriages will be in waiting to convey his Excellency and party to the Star and Garter Hotel, where they will partake of a private luncheon. After Luncheon, such arrangements will be made as His Excellency may command. The Governor will leave for Tiraa.ru by special train at 3.25 p.m. As the space at the passenger platform is so limited, the Reception Committee have been obliged to provide that tickets of admission thereto shall only be issued t.r' mejnbers of the Legislature, and of the thrV governing bodies taking part in the arrangements, and as the proceedings at the Railway Station will only occupy a few minutes they respectfully recommend the general public to await His Excellency at the Harbor Works., WM.
