The following letter was forwarded through the Marine department : —" Wellington, March 10. —feir, —I have tiie honor to report that when the s.s. Hinemoa was crossing out over the Otago bar at 7.5 a.m. on the sth March, the vessel touched once. The leading beacons were just in line whe« the vessel grounded.
