RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
THIS DAY. (Before T. W. J'arkkr, Esq., R.M.) George Maitland, for alio,wi.ig ona cow to wander, was fined 3s, The fine was paid. Patrick M'Cusker was charged with having been drunk and disorderly in Thames-street. Fined 40s, or one month's imprisonment. Henry York was charged with having been illegally on the premises of Mr. Earle, on the 101 h inst. F. Earle, sworn, deposed that he had found the accused and another young man, at 11.45 p.m., in the kitchen. He had then given him in charge. o,n examining the premises, he had found a bucket of water stirrod up in tho Hour bin. This morning he found the meat, which should have been in the larder, in the coal cellar. Mary Hegerty, who is in the employment of Mr. Earle, gave corroborative evidence, stating, in addition, that the accused had made use of threatening language to herself and another girl. His Worship sentenced the prisoner to 28 days' imprisonment.
