LIVINGSTONE.

(FKOM our own correspondent.) January 21. A meeting of the Committee of the Miners' Association was held in the school en Monday. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. After some conversation on business of a routine nature, Mr. Roberts, on behalf of deputation appointed at last meeting to wait on the Minister for Lands, reported the result of the interview, as already published in your columns. On the motion of Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Frater, it was resolved that the cordial thanks of the Committee be tendered to the deputation for their kindness in leaving at so short a notice to represent the Association in Dunedin. It was resolved that a similar vote be accorded Mr. Anderson, for having assisted in drafting the memorial, and for his readiness on all occasions to render the Association and the district service.

It was proposed by Mr. Frater, seconded by Mr. Kermode, and carried "■ the Seecretary be instructed to write the Hon. the Minister for Lands, requesting a copy of Professor Ulrich's report' on the goldfield." It was arranged that some copies of form of registration be procured, together with some other information, far the convenience of members in view of the probability of a general election this year. Some accounts being passed for payment, the proceedings terminated. The weather continues very dry.
