NORTH OTAGO COURSING CLUB.

The monthly meeting of the Committee took place at tlie Council Chambers at 11 o'clock this morning. Present —Messrs. Smith (chair), Allen, Duncan, Connell, and Ronayne (Hon. Sec). The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The Secretary brought up the question of the Waterloo Cup, and the advisability of joining the other Club. It was resolved that the Secretary write to the various Clubs, suggesting that they should appoint delegates to meet at some central point, say Dunedin, to draw up rules and regulations for the same. It was also resolved that the Secretary write to the Hon. M. Holmes asking him to act for the North Otago Club, with Mr. Ronayne, the meeting, if possible, to be held about the end of this month. The question of opening the coursing season on tlie 1 st April was then discussed, and eventually it was decided to leave it open till the next meeting. The following gentlemen were then balloted for and duly elected members of the Club Thomas Dodson, Dunedin ; M. Taylor, Oamaru ; R. Morton, Kakanui: John Shields, Wanganui ; W. W. Mitchell, Waitaki ; Alex. M'Lean, Dunedin ; Robert Stewart, Awamoka.
