TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING MAIL. Sir,- —As the monthly meeting of tho Mechanics' Institute is advertised to bo held this evening, I embrace the opportunity of publicly drawing their attention to the fact that the publications the table are regularly taken avzgy by some member unknown, the allotted period of a month has expired. The Committee might devise some means of putting a stop to this reprehensible practice. By doing so they will oblige several members.—l am, &c. , A Member. Oamaru, December 5.
