Young Iron Duke gained the first prize at Warrnambool Show, Victoria, and, first for the Best Draught Entire exhibited, beating all imported and co ouial bred horses on the ground. At the Grand National Show heltf at Kyneton, ISG9, he gamed the first prize for the best colonial bred Stallion, beating Dan O'Connell, the celebrated prizetaker, and the renowned, l'rince Charlie, in the class open to all comers. At the same place he gained the first prize in IS7O, also first in 1-572, never having been beat-en in his class. Sir Colin Campbell's dam Diamond, bred by Mr. Paterson. Quamby, her sire Sir Colin Campbell (imported) by Jame3 Ross, Esq , of Bishopbourne, Tasmania. Her dam was the celebrated mare Blossom. Blossom'--sire, Clyde, imported to Tasmania by M. Field, Esq., of Enfi-.ld. Diamond when two years old, took first prize at Westbury : when three years old, first at Longford, and first at Westbury; when four years old, first at Westbury ; and in 1870, first at Launceston, and first at Westbury, being s* fi.-r.jl prizes in all, never having been beaten in Tasmania.
