WAIAREKA CHURCH BAZAAR.

The forthcoming bazaar in connection with the Vv'aiareiia Church promises to be a great success. For several mouths past contributions of goods have boon, pouring in from all parts of the world, mail after mail brine,-; new consignments and new varieties, in addition to what has been prepared by numberless busy fingers here. The sale which is to take piaco on Wednesday. Thursday, and Friday, the 20th, 21st, and 22nd inst., is looked forward to with as much interest by the fair sex as our animal exhibition is regarded by the sterner sex. Both events occur at the game time, and we predict that the attraction of Messrs. Comiell and Clowes' store on these days will be quite as great as that of the Show Ground. The store is to undergo a transformation in the beginning of the week, which will in itself be worth a visit. The seiwices of the gas titter, the carpenter, and the upholsterer arc engaged in making tho stalls, worthy of the magnificent articles, tq be displayed. Tempting fancy goods from London, Melbourne, and China will be found in great variety, together with furniture, ornaments, silver plate, wax flowers, sewn and embroidered work, children's clothing, and a choice selection of dolls of every size and

dress. Some of the more costly articles will be disjjosed of by art union, which will be taken advantage of by numbers of our bachelor friends ; tickets are now being printed, and may be had from members of Committee. A first-class pianoforte has been obtained, the excellence of which will be clearly shown by the musical talent who have taken v,i>riv. themselves the pleasant duty of displaying to us its sweet sounds. We have no doubt of the j ieo P lo of Oamaru giving their heart}- support to so laudable r.n object, nr.d tli.it our country friends will eagerly avail themselves of such an exceptional treat.
