SPECIAL TELEGRAMS.
[from our own correspondent.] Dtnedix, October 2S. Tyson to-day accepted Thomas' challenge for the Caledonian Society's belt and LSO a side, to take place on December the 14th. The latter's match against Oagg is fixed for November the 28th. LSO will be offered in prizes for light and heavy weights at the same time. Sir Julius Vogel replies to the Mayor's congratulatory telegram re railway opening, and "asks him "to convey to the Governor his respectful thanks for allowing his name to be coupled with the same, and for the distinction shown him ; and also thanks most warmly those on whose behalf the telegram was despatched.
