Some discussion took place as "to the power of the Society to deal with the present land. A lengthy discussion took place. during which most ot th® arguments of previous occasions were urged. Eventually the question wag put, and tho amendment was carried by 13 against 10. The consideration of the purchase of Mr. Holmes land at Deborah was consequently postponed.

George Jones was read, placing at the disposal of the AssociM'ciou a paper of four pages, to be issued in connection with the Evening Mail, without any addit2on.ll charge, once a month, tho Association to have the privileire ot appointing its own writers, and ti ling up the space with sucli reading matter as il.ry may deem fit.
