Tu° y succeeded in yetting him the -adjournment of the debate, which was carried, with a view to passing an Act giving the Corporation power to borrow money after consulting the ratepayers, as r quired by the Act of 1876. The Hon. R. Campbell atrongly opposed the Bill. The Hon. H. J. Miller is working splendidly for the town.
