Samson, Capt. Jones, arrived at the usual hour yesterday afternoon from Dunedin, with passengers and cargo. Thes.s. Star of the South, Capt. Hughes, arrived m port at S o'clock this morning from Dunedin, with 10.000 feet of timber for Messrs. M'Callum and Co., and a few sundries for various consignees. She will take in a cargo of produce and will probably sail again to-niui-t for northern ports. The brigantine Helena, Capt. Campbell, soiled at an early hr.ur this morning for Auckland with a cargo of produce, shipped by Messrs. J. and T. Meek and the N./.L. and M.A. Co. * ■ SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, August 24.
