ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
♦ PUBLICANS AS J.P.'S. TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVEN INC MAIL. Sir,—lt is with extreme pleasure that -I tender you the thanks of the Star of Otepopo Lodge, 1.0. G.T., for your plain speaking re the above subject, and to congratulate you upon your spirit in so doing. I am afraid we do not do you justice in that we have supposed that no paper but our own (Temperance Times) in any way advocates our cause, looks on us in a friendly spirit, or would in any way point out any errors connected with vested interests, but rather cry, " Great is Diana of the Ephesians ; down with these Templar folks." We see by this article, however, that while open to turn an honest penny, you have a soul above more sordid gold.—l am, etc., 1.0. G.T.
