OAMARU STEEPLECHASE CLUB.
The settling in connection with the above Club's steeplechase meeting took place last evening at the Empire Hotel. A protest by Mr. W, Hankins against Silverstream taking the stakes for the Maiden Steeplechase was read, but as Mr. Hankins had not complied with rule 71 "f the Club, the. protest was not entertained.
