Maiden steeplechase of 40 sovs.; about 2 miles, over such country as the Stewards may appoint ; for all horses that have never won a Steeplechase of 20 sovs., Matches and Hack Races excepted. Entry. 2 sovs., with a Sweep of £1 Is., to go to the second horse. Weight for Wai I'Aivi County Cup, a Handicap Steeplechase of SO sovs.; about 3 miles, over such country as the Stewards may appoint. Nomination. 2 sovs.; Acceptance, 2 sovs., with a Sweep of 5 suvs., to go to the second horse. Oamaku Handicap, a Handicap Steeplechase of 00 sovs.; about 2i miles. Nomination, 3 sovs., with a Sweep of 3 sovs. for ail acceptors, the Sweep to go to the second horse. Weights to lie declared after the Waitaki County Cup has been run. Consolation Handicap, of 40 sovs., for all beaten horses. Fntiy, 1 sow; acceptance, 1 sov., the acceptance to go to the second horse ; about 2 miles ; over the same course as the Maiden Steeplechase. Entries for Maiden Steeplechase, Waitaki Couuty Cup and Oamaru Handicap, to be made on or before Saturday, 13th July, at S p.m. Weights to be declared on Wednesday, 17th July. Acceptances on or before Wednesday, the 24th July, at S p.m. All Kntries and Acceptances, accompanied by the Money, in sealed covers, to be addressed to the Secretary, at the Umpire Hotel, o;'inaru. All Nominators who are not Members of the Club at the time of entry shall pay a qualification fee of £1 Is. All Entries to be- accompanied by a description and name of the Horse, and the colors to be'won by the Rider. All Protests must be addressed to the Stewards in writing, accompanied by a deposit of 2 sovs., within one quarter of an hour before or after the Pace, or they will not be considered ; and if found frivolous or vexatious, .the deposit will be forfeited. Five per cent, will bo deducted from all Monies paid by the Club. Any Horse found using ths Jumps, or running round after the Course has been laid out, previous to the Race, will be disqualified from running during the Meeting. The Pules of the Grand National Steeplechase Club strictly adhered to. OAMARU STEEPLECHASE CLUB. A MEETING of the COMMITTEE will be held at the Empire Hotel on MONDAY EVENING, at S o'clock. G.
