TENDERS arc invited for the SUPPLYING of from 150,000 to 200,000 Feet of IRON BARK TIMBER for the Waimate County Council. Specifications may be seen at the ofiico of the Waitaki County Council, Oamaru, up to WEDNESDAY, the 31st Inst., when tenders are to be sent in addressed to the Chairman Waimate County Council, Waimate. Each tender must be accompanied by a marked cheque in favor of the Council only, but not to bearer, for a sum equal in amount to one (1) per cant, on the amount of tender.

Winner to receive Ll.w and a silver collar, presented by the club ; second dog, L 65 ; two dogs, L3O each ; four dogs, Lls each ; and eight dogs, LlO each. A Silver Collar, worth £5 55., the gift of Mr. K. Riohardson, Royal Hotel, will be presented to the runner-up. Nominations, with entrance money, to close at 4 o'clock p.m, on Tuesday, the 2nd July, 1878, Entries to be made by 7 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the Bth July, at the Royal Hotel, Oamaru ; and the draw to take place immediately after. Should the Awamoa Cup and the Waterloo Cup not fill, the Committee reserves the right of running them off with fewer extraß and reducing the prizes pro-rata.
