[from ouk own oorkespondent.J * DUNEDIN. July 6. The Judge yesterday granted a Commission, which is returnable, for the lsc of January, to examine the officers of H.M.S. Euryalus, including the Duke of Edinburgh, during the time that Haughton served on board that vessel. The trial cannot, therefore, eventuate till the expiration of nearly a year. Alexander Rintoul, a very old settler in the Taieri district, was killed yesterday by a fall from his horse. There is no possibility of finishing the coursing match at Tokomairiro to-night, i/lie hares being very scarce. In the livsi ties St. Albans beat Busybody easily.
