The course was a surprise to the admirers of Highland Mary, Catnelia scoring every point, working and iurning tno hare capitally, and killing tho hare in a remarkably short time and in a clever manner. Ea:v.'l and Young Lucy then ran oil' their undecided course, Hazvl winning after a long and hard run. Handle and Ophelia had a very unsatisfactory tussle, the hare gel ting away in a paddock covered with thistles, the result being that the judge decided it to lie. ano eoiir.se. Monk and Gazelle wore then slipped to a hare, but very Utile could be .seen of the cotir.se. the hare getting anion:; the thistles. Tlio course was decided in favour of (J.v/.0110. Gyp and Frolic, were slipped to aline haii', and a splendid course took place, ihe dogs working- splendidly, but, the curse was undecided. .Handle and Ophelia rlien rati oil' their undecided course, but. after going a short distance the bare got. away. They were then, placed in tlio slips again. A short adjournment then took place, during which a substantial luncheon, providid by Mr. aV'Auley, was' freely par-
taken of by the large number on the ground. The scone of operations were then changed to a paddock some distance, oil', and to roach which a considerable, mire, designated by the name of a main road.
