EARLY CLOSING AGAIN.
■id TUB EDITOR, OF TUK EVK.VINU M.Air.. Sjk, —Wo arc tired of reading letters on early closing in your popular journal this last week or two, without iho least uooil whatsoever. Now, sir, I think it is about time to do something nearer the point. Tf tins drapers' assistants in Oaiuarvi look upon themselves as slaves, who are they to blame but themselves? Why not organise as a body, and come forward like men, and take more active steps towards remedying their evils i I, for one, would deem it advisable to get up a meeting of drapers' assistants at once, and lay the foundation of an Early Closing Association, and agitate like the Bmiedin drapers' assistants did. Until something is done in that direction, the friends, of early closing can do nothing. I, for one, think that if the Oamaru public were appealed to they would not lack in support of a cauae so just.— L am, i-c, DnAr-Kr.'s Quill.
