ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
TO Tub KIiITOU OF TUP, EVKSIKft MAIL. Sti;, —" Humanitas "is in error in saying that working men in Oamaru have the benefit of that great desideratum ;i half-holiday on Saturday. I wish it were so, and see no just cause or impediment why it should not be adopted here as in Ditnedm. The only difficulty is that wo should have to lose half a day's pay, whereas bank clerks, drapers, and others get paid for their multitude of holidays.— 1 am. itc., Shtijo.
