M E K E, Situate in the Kakanui Valley, and containing 759 acres of the richest Agricultural Land in the District, together with Educational Lease of about 16 acres. This Valuable Propert}' is situated 11 miles from Oamaru, and 3 miles from the Maheno Railway Station, and is well watered. There is a substantial Seven-roomed House (with Orchard and Garden, well stocked with Fruit Trees), Three-roomed Cottage, Six-stalied Stable, Woolshed, I Chaff-house, Stock and Sheep Yards, &c, &c, on the Property, which is securely fenced (with live fences) and sub-divided into 17 paddocks. In drawing the attention of buyers to this very desirable investment, the Auctioneer would point out that, owing to Dr. Webster having used tin's Farm wholly for his stud Hock of sheep, there have been no white crops taken off the land for a number of years ; and all the green crops grown have been fed off on the ground, thereby much increasing the value of the land for cropping purposes, and ensuring splendid returns when next broken up for cereals. The land is almost all equal in quality t the productive Taieri or Edendale plains, am the remainder consists of rich sloping ridge of which nearly every acre is ploughable There is a frontage of eight miles to the Titi [>ua stream, and the property is well shel tered. The whole estate will be put up ti auction in lots as originally conveyed by Go vernment, and, in most cases, the purchase; will have the option of purchasing adjoining lots at the same price. The terms are un usually liberal, viz., 10s. cash per acre : th< balance in equal half-yearly payments ex tending over live years, bearing interest a 1 £S per cent, per annum. It will be seei: that this sale affords a rare opportunity oi securing excellent farms which, before the}' are paid for, will, in all probability, be worth many times their cost. The Auctioneers earnestly recommend intending buyers to secure a map of this land, and place themselves in communication with Mr. M'lntosh, or Mr. Hay, so that arrangements maybe made for its inspection ; and, to prevent disappointments, it would be well to make arrangements at least one week before the proposed day of inspection. At the same time and place will be sold, for the same owner, 737 acres, being section 114, Forest Hill Hundred, 256 and 327, Hokanui district. The laud is within four miles of the Limestone Plain Township railway station, and is one of the richest parts of the Benmore Estate. The land is deep and rich, and capable of producing heavy craps of wheat—as has already been tested by part of it having been cropped. It will be sold in one or two lots.
