DESERTING A CHILL). Susannah Hutchens was brought up on remand, charged with leaving her child without adequate means <>f support. After some discussion, his "Worship decided to adjourn the case in order to give the accused an opportunity of fulfilling her promise to take charge of her children and return to Dunedin.
NUISANCES. .James Reid and Michael Sheehan were charged, on remand, with permitting nuisances to exist. The Inspector of Nuisances having stated that the nuisances had been abated, the charges were dismissed.
