Samson, Captain Jones, arrived from Dunedin at six o'clock this morning, with 35 tons cargo and a number of passengers. She leaves again for Dunedin at the usual hour this evening. The s.s. St. Kilda. Captain Flowerday, arrived in port at early hour this morning, from Lyttelton. She brings 300 bales cornsacks, on account of P. Cunningham and Co., after discharging which she will take in cargo and sail for Wellington and Wanganni (via Dunedin) this evening. The s.s. Star of the South, Captain Christian, arrived from Dnnedtn this morning with cargo. She will leave for Northern ports this evening. The barqutmtine Garron, Captain Bishop, sailed for Newcastle in ballast yesterday afternoon. The s.s. St. Kilda, Captain Flowerday, arrived in Port at an early hour this morning from .Lyttelton. She brings 300 bales comsacks, on account of P. Cunningham ami Co. Slit? will sail for Wellington and Wanganut, via Dunedin, this evening. The brig Annie, Captain Iken, sailed for Melbourne last evening with 2.500 bags oats, shipped by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency < 'ompany. The cntter Nautilus, Captain Cross, arrived from Stewart's Island yesterday with lb",000 timber, consigned to M'Callum and Co. The schooner Mabel Jane, Captain Graham, arrived from Dunedin at noon to-day. She brings 30 kegs powder for Messrs. Miller and Smillie, and 30 bales consigned to order, and has also a quantity of cargo for Greymouth. The s.s. Waitaki, Capt. Edie. is due here from Dunedin at t p.m. to-morrow.
