Waitaki, Captain fcdie, arrived from Dunedin at 1 p.m. to-day. She brings 50 ton<) cargo and 36 passengers, and will leave again at the usual hour tomorrow. She had fine weather up_ the coast. The fore-and-aft schooner Transit, Captain Hooper, arrived in Port yesterday afternoon. She is from the Thames, with a of 63,000 feet timber, consigned to the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company.
