(SPECIAL TO THE PRESS AGENCY.) London, January 9. The Turks are still holding Schipka Pass. The Russians failed to pass Arogan. The Turks defeated the Servians at Naw Bazar, and retook Kershama. The Russians occupied Sladitza, the Turks retreating on Bazardick. Raouf Pasha has been appointed Com-mander-in-Chief of the Turkish-European army, Suleiman. Pasha consenting to command a corps. The Russians found 8000 wounded in Sophia. The Turkish delegates are named to treat for an armistice which it is now thought is probable. The Turkish Parliament demands the abolishment of the Councils of War. The Danube is frozen.
A quantity of arms, intended for Turkey, were seized by the Government at Cardiff.
Russia demands four thousand Servians to assist in operations at Adrianople. The French Chambers are again in meeting. The King of Italy, who has been in a very precarious state of health, is worse to-day. J 0-
