POLITICAL GOSSIP.
(from our own correspondent.)
Wellington, November 30.
There does not appear to be a happy understanding between the members for Oamaru in the House, with those in the Council. The three Bills—Kakanui and Oamaru Harbor Boards, and Oamaru Reserves—all passed by the House, were thrown out in the Council through the influence of Messrs. Holmes and Miller. If they had supported them the Bills would have, passed. Messrs. Shrimski and Hislop seem much disgusted.
