A TRIFLE GUSHING.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING HAIL. S IKj —Do you not think that, in tho interests of this rising town, it is very desirable the Municipal Council should take immediate steps to lay before tho British public the Rushing effusion of tho correspondent of your morning contemporary, headed "To the Waterworks Inlet and Duntroon ?" I am quite sure it only requires tho rich deposit of "crystal rubies," not to mention "moa bones, smiling homesteads, and taper fingers," referred to by him to be brought under the notice of capitalists to render our waterworks loan, which is \ now being placed in the London market, ' an immense success. | Had some such steps as suggested been f taken with regard to our gas loan its un- 1 fortunate fate would, I doubt not, have / been averted.—l am, &c.
