Mr. Firth successfully placed forty thousand salmon in the Pnuui river, in the Kuig Country, the chief Kewi assisting. NELSON. November 9. H.M.S. Sappho received telegraphic instructions from Commodore Eoskins last night to be in readiness to proceed to Samoa" with 3 months' stores on receipt of fuller orders per steamer from Australia.
