(reuterV; telegrams, per press agency.) LATEST WAR NEWS. London, October 21. It is announced at Bucharest that the Roumanian troops thrice attacked unsuccessfully the Gravitza redoubt. A despatch from Osman Pasha states that the Russians attacked the Turkish forts to the right of Plevna on the 19th, and were repulsed with heavy loss. The attack by the Russians on the east of Plevna was repulsed. A Turkish official despatch denies that Raschid Pasha, in Asia Minor, capitulated after the battle on the 15th, and states that lie, 011 the contrary, occupies a position at Hassantepe, with Mukhtar Pasha near Aladqatah. The Russian artillery reserves have been called out.

Consols, 96 ; Colonial securities have advanced. Wool in good demand. Private sales of wheat are weak. Imports heavy. New Zealand, 45s to 465. Arrived—Lurline and Wanganui. for the surrender of the fortress have been opened. General Hyman is advancing upon Erzeroum, while General Hazareff is attempting to cut off the retreat of Israael Pasha from Udyr. Seven pashas, eighteen thousand Turks, and forty cannons, were captured in the recent battle near Kars. All resistance ceased on the evening of the 14th, and the collapse of the Turkish forces was complete. The Porte is sending reinforcements into Asia Minor. The Shah of Persia visits Europe nest spring. There has been ad other great fire at St. John's. Two hundred and thirty houses were destroyed, and two thousand persons rendered houseless. A number of foreign masons, engaged in the erection of the new Law Courts, have been outraged by a mob of roughs. Cleopatra's needle has been removed.
