OAMARU CRICKET CLUB.
The first match of the season was played on Saturday afternoon, on the old Cricket Ground. Play was commenced about halfpast two, the sides being chosen by Messrs. Sumpter and Borton, but the wind being high and the dust unpleasant, it was very like cricket under difficulties. Messrs. Thornton and De Lautour, on Mr. Borton's side, played well for their respective scores. Several new members turned out, and give promise of being valuable additions to the Club.
