AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

Messrs. Connell and Clowes held their usual monthly sale of skins, hides, &c, this afternoon at "their stores, Tyne-street, and report that the attendance of fellmongers was good, the trade being represented by buyers from Kaiapoi, Bangiora, Temuka, and Waimate, in addition to the local bnyers. About 3000 skins were catalogued, about 1700 being butchers', the balance station and farmers' skins. Half-bred skins sold up to 6s. 4d.; merinos, to 4s. 5d.; hides sold up to 19s. 6d ; tallow, 2d per lb.
