AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Committee of the above Association was held tins morning at the Secretary's office. There were presentMessrs. Steward (in the chair), Konayne, Dunlop, Gillespie, Morton, Jack, M'Donald, Little, Easton, and Church (Secretary).

A letter was read from the Secretary of the Christelmrch Association, enclosing the names of the .Judges appointed by that Association for tlie Oamaru show, which were as follows :—Draught horses, Mr. .1. Stark : thoroughlireds and hacks, Mr. A. \V. Money; shorthorns, J. Gebbie ; merino sheep, Mr. J. T. Ford; Leicester sheep, Mr. J. M'Heath ; Lincoln sheep, Mr. W. B. Andrews ; Komney Marsh and CotswoliK Mr. A. l\ O'Callagh'an ; wool, Mr. J. T. Ford; poultry, Mr. H. K. Alj»ort; <lairy produce, Mr. R. Sutherland; agricultural implements, Mr. .1. Anderson, jun.; spring-carts, Mr. J. Page ; flour, grain, seeds, and roots, Mr. J. Osborn. A letter was also read from Mr. \V. Cowan, Waikonaiti, forwarding the following names as those who would probably act as judges from that district : Grain, &C, Mr. Todd ; Ayrshire and general cattle, Mr! W. Cowan ; wool, either Mr. Scott or Mr! Tait. A letter from Mr. W. 11. 'J aggarfc, Dunedin, was read expressing regret that ho would be unable to act as a judge of buggies at the Association's show. Mr. J. Allan, Greytown, wrote stating ho would be unable to act as a judge at the forthcoming show. The Secretary stated that ho liad sullicient names to fall back upon to (ill up the places of those who had declined to act aH judges. CANVASSERS. The following gentlemen were appointed to canvass for subscriptions •.—Oamaru town, Messrs. Medley, Stewart, Falconer, Konayne, and Dunlop ; Town Boundary to Pukouri Point, Messrs. Honour and T. V. Duncan; Pukeuri Point to the Waitaki, Mr. Wanton ; Papakaio, Messrs. I). Borrie and D. Shaw; Awamoko, Messrs. T. Hall, jun., ami Alex, lialfour'; Maerewhenua, Messrs. \V. Gardiner and G. Hutchinson; Upper Waiareka, Messrs. F. Menlove, Little, and C. Todd ; Lower WaiareUa, Messrs. M'Lennan and Meek ; Totara and nortli side of Kaknnui, Messrs. I'. Orr and D.
