The Oamaru and Dunedin Steamship Company's s.s. Waitaki, Captain Edie. arrived alongside the Breakwater at 12 20 E.m. to-day, after a slashing run up of four ours ten minutes. Mie left Port Chalmers at 8 10 a.m., and experienced a S.W. wind up the coast. She brings 32 tons cargo and 20 passengers, and leaves again at the usual hour to-morrow.

The Union Steamship Company's ps. Samson, Captain Jones, steamed for Dunedin at 6.30 last evening, wich passengers and cargo. The ketch Huon Belle, Captain rTanning, put in here from Kakanui for shelter from the strong S.W. breeze. The brigantine Roderick Dhu commenced to discharge her cargo of coal to-day.
