Stock certain alcoholic liquors on the 21th Augi.st last, contrary to the statute made and provided, she not being duly licensed to sell spirituous liquors. Mr. Balmer appeared for the defendant, and pleaded not guilty. Mr. O'Meagher, who appeared to prosecute, asked for a remand in order to give the police an opportunity of compelling one of the informers to be in attendance to give evidence. The informer had left the town, probably having been bribed to do so.

Mr. Balmer objected to a remand being granted. His Worship said that no doubt it would cause a little inconvenience to the defend int, hut he must accede to tlu> application. He would therefore grant a remand till Thursday. Robert Keenan and Patrick Kearney were also charged with similar >iiences, and were botli remanded for a week.
