September 7The barque Cabarfeidh, from Lyttejton, went ashore on Mud Plat, olf the North Head, when entering, but is not expected to be much damaged. Siie was insured in the New Z aland office for L3OOO, and the Standa d for LIOJO. The mail agent reports that the City of New York, with the outward mails, arrived at Honolulu on the 17th July, left next day, and arrived at 'Frisco on July 2Goh, landing mails at 9.30 a.m.: time from Auckland to 'Frisco, 21 days 12 hours. Lft 'Frisco wi h the English mails on August 15th, arrived at Honolulu on the 23rd, sailed the same day for Auckland, and arrived at 6.30 this evening. The Wanaka sails from Auckland with the mail to-morrow morning at 9 o'c-ork.

The City of New York arrived this evening \vith the English and American mails, ;iffcer a passage of 22 days 4 hours. New Zealand passengers-Rev. Charles Clark, Messrs. Ki nuedy and Hetmeberry, Captain Mast, and Mr. Buchanan and wife, for Lyttelton. S:se brings 231 bags of inai's for New Zealand.
