ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY.
A jji'imrul meeting of l.'io members of, I the Wailaki County Acclimatisation So-t j ciety was held to-day at tho County CounciN Chambers. There were present—Messrs.' Morton (i:: the cliai'), Steward, Menlovo/ Fenwick, Hay, Hrydon, Humphreys Crai<r, Whoatley, Ronavne, Gilchrist,* Diuilop, Covins, Mason, Young, Iluril->; man, Thompson, C. S. Allon, and Connolly (Hon. Secretary pro Icm.) * The rules for the management of tho •Society, as drawn up by tlio Provisional:! Comini!.tee were read through, andatloptedJ with one slight alteration. ' ■ " ' J A large number of new meinbcrs were J enrolled, and their subscriptions handed*] in. _ \$ The election by ballot of the Council of* the Society was then proceeded with, and \ resulted in the election of the followingH gentlemen:—Messrs.
