Master, agent Moa, brig, Bankier, for Newcastle, N.S.W. Master, agent. VESSELS IN PORT. Schooners—Herald, Maggie Paterson. Ketches —Palmerston, Franklin Belle. The brig Moa, Captain Bankier, took her departure tor Newcastle on Saturday night. She took away 300 bags br >n and 200 bags pollard on account of the New Zealand i.oan and Mercantile Agency Company. The fore-and-aft schooner Mabel Jane, Captain Graham, sailed for Hokitika on Saturday evening with 420 bags grain and original cargo, from-Dunedin. The topsail schooner Maggie Paterson, Captain Paterson, arrived from Moeraki in ballast at 1 p.m. yesterday. The Union Steamship p.s. Samson, Captain Jones, arrived friffli Dunedin at 4 p.m. yesterday. She left Port Chalmers at 10.30 a.m., and experienced a heavy sea along the coast. The Samson brings 50 tons cargo and 18 passengers, and will leave on her return trip this evening at the usual hour. The s.s. Waitaki is due here from Dun- * edin at 1 p.m. to-morrow.
