August 27. Bamson, p.s., 129 tons, Jones, for Dunedin. H. Aitken, agent. PassengersMiss Strachan. VESSELS IN PORT. Steamer —W aitaki. Brig—Moa. Brigantine —Sea Gull. Schooner —Herald. Ketch —Palmerston. The Union Steamship Company's p3. Samson, Captaiu Jones, sailed for Dunedin at 6.30 p.m. last evening with passengers and cargo. The Oamaru and Dunedin Steamship Company's b.s. Waitaki, Captain Edie, arrived from Dunedin at 1 p.m to-day. She brings 33 tons cargo and 35 passengers, and leaves again to morrow morning. The ketch Palmerston, Captain Brebner, arrived from Inveroargill yesterday with 17,000 ft. timber consigued to I/Ir. J. Sutherland.
