(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) 0 DUNEDIN. August 25. By a small majority, it lias been decided to call the new Anglican Society the Churchman's Society. Tiie Dunedin Jockey Club's programme announces that L 2700 will be given as prize-money at its meeting this year. A Railway Plate of 100 sovs. and the Champagne Stakes of 100 sovs. have been added to the programme, and the amounts for the.- Jockey Club Handicap and the Forbury Handicap have been increased by LSO. Grierson, traveller for Messrs. Marshall and Copeland, has been arrested for embezzlement.
