The insurant offices are interested to tho extent» L7OO : Globe, L3OO ; Standard, L3O( Victorian, LIOO. j A general meeting of members of \m Otago Railway Employe's Benefit Socic was held last night, for the purpt of considering a proposal from t Superintending Engineer, Christchurc that the Dunedin Society should am gamate with that of Christchurc The following resolution was carried : " That this Society agree to amalgami with the Christchurch Benefit and aw other Railway Benefit Societies as exi in the Colony, on the condition that tli Society's rules bo adopted, and that t! head office bo permanently held in Du edin."
