London, August 19. The Queensland mail was delivered on the 11th August, and the San Francisco on the 15th. Sailed —Chimborazi, on the 13th, and Durham, to-day. In wool, the competition with which the sales opened are well maintained. Prices improve as sales progress. Home trade is operating vigorously. Thirty thousand bales have been sold. The wheat market is depressed. Imports are increasing. Fine harvest weather. Australian, 67s ; New Zealand, 54s to 58s ; New Zealand flax scarce.
