SPECIAL TELEGRAMS.
(from our own correspondent.) ♦ DUNEDIN. August 20. The ship Oamarn, from this port, arrived at Home on the 13th instant, 8(5 days out. The Wellington, from Lyttelton, arrived on the same date. Mr. Crosaley's fellinongery at Green Island has been partially destroyed by fire. It was insured L4OO in the Standard Insurance Company. The Messrs. Sutton, of Southland, who arrived in the ship Invercargill, brought with them some valuable additions Lo the non-indigenous fauna of the Colon}" The animals include a couple of leash of fine greyhounds, four fox terriers, and a well-bred retriever ; also, 19 partridges. The dogs and birds throve well on th« passage.
