Messrs. Fleming ancl Hedley report that they held a sale on Saturday of the readymade clothing, boots, leather, and shoemakers' tools, of the Lite Mr. George Anderson. There was a good attendance throughout the afternoon, and considering the counter sales, and the qu mtity of goods of the same description recently in this market, fair prizes were 1 rivately they report the side of 850 cros r-bred sheep, at Ss 6'd ; 250 cro-ss-breits, .it Ss 6'd ; 350 merino ewes in lamb, at 5s ; GSO fat sheep, 2-tooth and over, at 10s a 1 round ; 150 fat sheep, heavy weights, at 12s each, and 200 cross-bred, lii.be weights, fair quality, at 8s each. 100 bags of Canadian oats, grown on the I'.skb-uitv estate, extra quality, to W. H. Teschemak-r, Esq., at 4s and 8d per bushel; also, the mare Miss Gibbs, by Black eg. in ioal to Motley's Fancy, to F. W. Turton, C'hristchurch, at a very satisfactory figure ; and the trotting pony Jimbo, "to tne same er, at 4J guineas. Mr. A. H. Maude reports that the sale of Mr. Moss's drapery goods, ready-made clothing, boots, &c., was continued on Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. There was a good attendance, and the bidding being spirited, a large number of lots were disposed of. The sale will be continued to-morrow ( Wednesday), commencing at noon. Messrs. Connell and Clowes report that they held a sale on Saturday, of horses, buggies, harness, &0., on account of the trustees in the estate of Stewart; Ivichmoi-d. There was a good attendance. Light harness horses fetched from LIS to L 32 ; hacks, L 8 to 116 ; second-hand buggies, L2O to L.ii) ; harness, fair rates. Theya'so report having sold yesterday, on tlie a quantity of groceries, oats, etc., the property of Mr. T. Shalders. The attendance was large, and very high rates prevailed. 1' oed oats fetched from 3s 9d to 3s lOd, and potatoes 4s per bag.
