THE MARKETS. August 3. Mr. Bradshaw reports : —Bank Shares —Bank of New Zealand, L 22 ss; National, L 3 lis ; Colonial, L2 2s ; National Insurance, LI 2s 6d ; South British, L 4 ; New Zealand, L 5 ; Mosgiel Woollen Company, L 3 ss. 80,000 shares have been ap plied for in Otago for the Union Insurance Company. Wheat, prime, 7s 9d ; inferior, 5s 6d to 7s ; oats, 3s 3d to 3i Gd; barley, 2j 9d to 4 3 6i.
