AUCTIONEER'S KEPOET.
Mr. A. TT. Maude yesterday submitted a number of freehold and leasehold properties to public competition. Although there was a large attendance, there wis no bid made for any of the propel ties off. red. Ifvalso submitted a quantity or furniture and sundries. The competition was very spirited, and good prices were realised. DUNEDIN OKA IN" MARKET. Messrs. Maclean Brothers report as follows for the week en.ling August 1 : Wheat: Eeally prime milling commands up to 7s 9d, and is offering in very limited quantity ; ordinary to good, ("s 9d to 7s ; inferior, 5s Gd to Gs : fou Is' feed, 3s Gd to 4s 4s 4d. Oats have been in some what better request during ihe week, but prices are without change. We quote ordinary to good feed at 3s 3d to 3s od ; milling at up to 3s 7d. Very prime for milling or seed might possibly bring up to 3s i)d. For barley we have had more inquiry, but very little business has transpireil except hi regard to very ordinary samples for feed, which have been sold at "2s J'd to 3s 3d. Prime bright malting may lie quoted as worth 4s Gd. Inferior and ordinary malting very dull of sale ; quotations, say 3s ed to 4s.
